Almost every stage in the production of our crane wheels has its own unique solution. Company’s technologies have optimized and secured the method of blanks selection depending on the functional tasks and the size of the wheels, and developed its own setup of cutting during turning, allowing to get the best "accuracy" of the working surfaces and wheel flange radiuses. The cooling system developed and implemented in our production allows obtaining an improved working surface with a given depth of hardening, keeping the same wheel hardness and elasticity of the non-working zones, including crane wheel hubs. Herewith we reach the depth gradient of hardness reduction steadily in a more restrictive range than it is required by GOST, and we work hard to ensure a smoother grade.
We set and maintain fixed terms of crane wheels production: 10 days for "standard" orders, i.e. wheels, produced from stampings, and 20 to 30 days for "non-standard" orders that require technical specifications development and for wheels produced from forgings (forged wheel).
In February 2013, for one of the State District Powers Stations of the North-West Federal district, just within14 days we have produced a batch of 16 crane wheels assembled with shafts. These spare parts were intended for a bridge crane with a lifting capacity of 150 tons, weight of each wheel was 500 kg, working size of a wheel - 700х150 mm.
From the very date of our establishment as a company in 2009, we chose the path of focused specialization. Up to date, 90% of the products manufactured in our own production facilities, in LLC "El-Kran" are crane wheels. The rest volume includes brake pulleys, sheave wheel (pulleys) and machined parts (rings, shafts, gears, etc.). All our crane wheels undergo strict internal quality control – you will find a factory mark, as prescribed by GOST 28648-90, on each of our product. Focused specialization allows to obtain consistently high quality products through mass production, and to ensure shorter delivery time, thanks to the constant availability of stock blanks for most in demand dimensions of crane wheels.
Recently, our crane wheels production can be called the most effective in Russia. This is confirmed by high percentage of regular Customers, and by our "know-how", which we continuously introduce in order to optimize the manufacturing process. For example, in the production of a double-flange crane wheel assembly we make a wheel seating to a shaft using a press, which makes the wheel kit suitable for repairmen - if necessary a shaft can always be pressed out. Here if a shaft is seated on a heated wheel, and in case the shaft fails to operate, the entire wheel kit will require replacing.
Considerable attention is paid to product packaging. All crane wheels before shipment are slushed and packed on euro pallets, which allows simplifying handling operations.
